Mulled Apple Cider
Ingredients
-Apple cider -one or two thinly sliced oranges, seeds removed -1/2 cup dried cranberries, more or less -two cinnamon sticks -ground cinnamon, to taste -allspice, to taste (I typically use about half as much allspice as I do cinnamon) -a teaspoon or so vanilla extract -a couple bay leaves -optional- whole cardamom pods Directions
-Throw all the ingredients together in a big pot and bring to a boil. Then reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook for a few hours until the dried cranberries have re-hydrated themselves. Cool, and serve. -This recipe also works well in a slow cooker! |
